Pelvic conditions involving both the colorectum and gynaecological organs are traditionally treated by laparotomy. We report two cases of colorectal cancer and one of endometriosis treated by laparoscopic anterior resection and total hysterectomy bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (LapAR & THBSO), at the same session. There have been no previously reported cases of the feasibility of such combined procedures, safely performed. Our results confirm that LapAR & THBSO is feasible and offers the advantages of a laparoscopic procedure in the hands of a well trained laparoscopic colorectal surgeon and gynaecologist working together.
