摘要
Stresses required to cause initial, partial and complete debonding at the fiber-matrix interface and to pull out a fiber have been analyzed for a fiber-reinforced composite. Solutions for partial and complete debonding have previously been obtained under the condition that the interfacial bond strength is independent of the bond length. However, this condition is not strictly valid. Modification of the previous analysis is presented in which the non-constant interfacial bond strength is considered. Furthermore, the stress vs. displacement relationship for the fiber during the pull-out process is addressed. © 1990.
