摘要
Treatment, at bench scale, of filtered secondary effluent from an advanced wastewater reclamation facility indicated that carbon adsorption and advanced oxidation each provide significant reductions in concentrations of both total organic halogens (TOX) and TOX precursors (measured as NVTOC). Equilibria and batch dynamic data suggested that multicomponent adsorption of TOX and precursors was favorable and pH dependent. In addition to contact time, oxidation of TOX and precursors by ozone peroxide was highly dependent upon hydrogen peroxide dosages. © 1990.
