摘要：

For the original paper by Bacewicz et al. see ibid., vol.12, p.3603 (1979). Two reported structures for CdGa2Se4 are shown to be the same thiogallate, the apparent difference being due to a misunderstanding by the Kishinev group. An alternative interpretation of the Raman scattering from CdGa2Se4 is presented. It is suggested that the peak at 277 cm-1 is due to the scattering of two 'breathing' phonons.
