摘要
The observation of an enhancement of small p perpendicular-to pions in heavy ion reactions at 200 A GeV as compared with pp data is explained in a (3 + 1)-dimensional hydrodynamical approach with Landau-type initial conditions, modified by taking into account partial transparency. The same model can account for the rapidity distribution. It is found that final state interactions play an important role in the soft pion enhancement, which is predicted to increase with the number of stopped baryons.
