摘要
This part is concerned with the application of the heuristic expert system described in Part I to a real-life situation at the experimental site of the Institute of Landscape Ecology. Forest structure compositions are predicted for a situation of very strong immissions and for conditions close to the actual situation. The other case considered is what would be the appropriate structures for the observed rise in average yearly temperatures. A knowledge base containing 622 linguistic rules has been created containing eight variables of influence on the ninth-the forest structure composition. A map shows the differences in compositions and indicates the changes necessary to prevent another disaster.
