RADIATIVE LIFETIMES AND POPULATION MECHANISMS OF THE 2-PI-3(G) STATES OF THE CS2 MOLECULE

摘要
With time-resolved spectroscopy of the fluorescence transitions 2 3-PI(g)(OMEGA) --> 1 3-SIGMA(u) radiative lifetimes tau(OMEGA), quenching cross sections sigma(OMEGA) and the population mechanisms of the 2 3-PI(g)(OMEGA = 0, 1, 2) states under optical excitation of levels in the 3 1-SIGMA(u) state have been determined. The results for the different OMEGA-components are: tau(rad)(OMEGA) = 20-22 ns, sigma(OMEGA) = 685-880 angstrom 2.
