摘要
Three ternary Fe-25Ni-X alloys with very low C and N contents were investigated, where X equals 2. 7Cr, 4. 5Mo, and 2. 2Mn, respectively. Nucleation of martensite in virgin austenite was not detected. Two levels of growth rate of isothermal martensite were observed; i. e. , 1 to 10 mu m/sec and less than 0. 1 mu m/min. Intermittent motions of dislocations at and in front of the tip of the growing laths were revealed by using the cinephotographic technique. The different types of dislocations observed are discussed.
