摘要
Wind tunnel experiments of long-span suspension bridge are described. The proposed design of the Akashi Straits Bridge having box stiffening girder (Ref. 1) is selected as the prototype for the aeroelastic full models with scale 1:350. Tests are conducted under smooth and turbulent flow. Preliminary results are presented. Wind-induced oscillations of the towers on completion are also mentioned. © 1990.
