APPLICATION OF THE SPD-METHOD TO CRYSTALLINE AND POLYCRYSTALLINE PERMANENT MAGNETIC-MATERIALS

摘要
To determine the anisotropy field HA of hard magnetic materials the singular point detection method can be applied. In single crystals the height and the position of the maximum of |d2M/dH2| very sensitively depend on small deviations of the external field from the hard direction. On the other hand, in polycrystalline samples the singularity is replaced by a cusp exactly at H = HA, and the height of the cusp changes rather slowly with the field direction.
