摘要
The strain‐induced ferroelectric domain structure in tetragonal (Pb1‐x,Cax)TiO3 is absent when x≥ 0.39, because the c/a ratio approaches unity with increasing x. For compositions where the c/a ratio is close to unity, the lack of strain allows a domain structure different from the strain‐induced domains. These domains, referred to here as random domains, have domain walls that do not lie on a particular crystallographic plane and are nonplanar. A simple model is presented to predict the conditions under which the ferroelectric strain‐induced domain structure is absent. Copyright © 1990, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
