摘要
The gel chromatographic behaviour of the twenty naturally occuring amino acids was investigated. The effect of salts ranking in the salting-out side of the Hofmeister series was studied over a wide range of concentrations. The dependence of In Kd on salt concentration was utilized to rank the amino acids in a "solvatochromic" scale which could help in predicting the propensity for regions in the polypeptide chain to be exposed to the solvent. © 1990.
