摘要
The oxidation of lead to PbO2 in dilute sulphuric acid has been studied. Small amounts of perchlorate ions in the electrolyte increase the oxidation rate and probably influence the ratio between α- and β-PbO2. The cation of the perchlorate salt is important for the discharge properties of the PbO2 formed. The discharge capacity, the active surface area and the self discharge current all increase in the sequence K+ < Na+ < Li+ < H+. © 1990.
