A K-matrix method implemented with L2 basis functions has been utilized to investigate the 1P0 continuum of the lithium anion below the 3s threshold. The results include the ground-state electron binding energy, the static dipole polarizability, the partial and total photodetachment cross sections and the asymmetry parameter beta 2p. © 1990, IOP Publishing Ltd.
