Twenty-four patients with hyperparathyroidism are reviewed. Awareness of several entities had led to increased recognition of this disorder. Urinary tract signs and symptoms continue to lead to the majority of diagnoses. Elevated serum calcium levels appear to be the most consistent indication of parathyroid hyperfunction. © 1968.
