TRANSVERSE RADIATION PRESSURE FORCES FOR FINITE SIZED COLLOIDAL PARTICLES

摘要
We present results of degenerate and "non-degenerate" four-wave mixing experiments utilizing a number of different micron sized colloidal particles. The theoretical approach of Rogovin is tested and confirmed provided we account for the finite size of the particles in calculating the transverse radiation pressure forces. We use a single scattering approximation to estimate this force and find good agreement with theoretical predictions.
