摘要
An amplifier scheme that allows to control the spectrum of the amplified pulse is proposed. By means of an appropriate dispersive system the spectral components of the initial pulse are sent into laterally shifted regions of the amplifying medium. This enables to control the gain of the different frequency components by varying the pump intensity distribution. In particular, the spectral narrowing during amplification can be avoided by the use of a properly formed pump. A demonstration of the scheme in nanosecond ultrabroadband regime is presented. © 1990.
