SURFACE-DIFFUSION PARAMETERS FOR POTASSIUM AND LITHIUM ON TUNGSTEN FIELD EMITTER TIP

摘要
The field emission fluctuation method has been applied to determine surface diffusion parameters. Experimental results both for lithium and potassium on (112) and (111) tungsten planes are presented. The values of the diffusion coefficients are evaluated on the basis of the experimental spectral density functions as well as the cross-correlation functions. The values of the diffusion parameters obtained previously are compiled and compared with the new results. Physical conditions of various diffusion experiments are analyzed. The surface diffusion processes for potassium and lithium are compared.
