PROTON CONDUCTIVITY IN FUSED PHOSPHORIC-ACID - A H-1 P-31 PFG-NMR AND QNS STUDY

摘要
The self-diffusion coefficients D(H-1) and D(P-31) for fused H3PO4 have been measured by the PFG-NMR technique. The results are discussed together with conductivity, self-dissociation and QNS data. Conduction in H3PO4 appears to be predominately protonic (t(H+) almost-equal-to 0.975) and structure diffusion is proposed as the operating fast conduction and diffusion mechanism. There is an indication for correlated proton transfer.
