摘要
An amperometric enzyme electrode for lactose was developed by entrapment of glucose oxidase and beta-galactosidase. The electrode response was described by Fick's second law of diffusion, solved numerically by an algorithm based on the Schmidt plot graphical method. With this model, the effective diffusivity calculated for lactose was 1.1 x 10(-8) cm2 s-1. This simplified solution predicted accurately the experimental results and could be used for the estimation of effective diffusivities in the electrode membranes.
