摘要：

Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) is used to determine allantoin in after shave lotions, pain-relieving gel and plaque-removing mouth rinses. At a pH > 9, allantoin is anionic and can be resolved from other components, eluting in < 6 minutes. Detection is at 230 nm. This method should be applicable to the determination of allantoin in the wide variety of products in which it is a component.
