摘要
The redox properties of ferredoxins were studied using the gold electrode in the presence of methyl viologen. A redox potential value of -0.42 .+-. 0.01 V/n.h.e. [normal hydrogen electrode] is confirmed for C. pateurianum ferredoxin. For the thermostable C. thermocellum ferredoxin, a redox potential value of -0.43 .+-. 0.01 V/n.h.e. is obtained. The electrochemical activation is attributed to the presence of methyl viologen adsorbed onto the gold electrode surface.
