摘要
Electron emission from ferroelectric ceramic having ultrathin metal electrode has been observed in vacuum by applying a pair of bipolar pulse voltages. Ultrathin metal film was deposited on lead-zirconate-titanate (PZT) ceramic plate to enhance electron emission. The amount of emitted charge in the sample using the ultrathin metal film could increase to about 4 times that in the sample using a conventional electrode. Further electron emission could be observed even by impressing an unipolar pulse of negative voltage.
