摘要
The dynamic recoil mixing (DRM) technique for producing modified surface layers is described, and its application to the generation of surfaces having altered chemical, electrical, and mechanical properties is reviewed. Specific examples of Au-Si, and Sb-Si are presented where the mixing parameters (effect of bombardment fluence and initial film thickness) have been studied in detail. Some applications of DRM layers for the production of electrochemical sensors (e. g. Au-glass, Pt-Ti), for improvement of wear, friction and hardness of steel (Ni-iron, Si/N-steel) and for creation of layers having photo-voltaic properties (Sb-Si) are presented together with data illustrating the effect of DRM on adhesion and endurance of metallic overlayers (Au-glass).
