摘要
Operational principle and performance characteristics of LEA-type low-energy electron accelerators are described, which were developed to meet the requirements of industrial curing applications. LEA accelerators are applied for curing of solvent-free coatings on web and sheet materials as well as for drying of printing inks. Examples of their applications in pilot scale units are given and experiments are discussed where a LEA accelerator was used for the electron beam degradation of chlorinated hydrocarbons in air.
