A 35-year-old transsexual underwent Ga-67 scintigraphy because of cough and dyspnea on exertion. Although no pulmonary abnormalities were identified, increased radiotracer localization in the breasts and both hips was observed. On questioning, the patient revealed that breast and hip augmentation with silicone was part of the male-to-female transformation she had undergone about 10 years previously.
