摘要
The relativistic acceleration addition theorem in one dimension for physical accelerations (as against coordinate accelerations) is derived, and with its help the transformation equation for acceleration amongst accelerated frames in relativity in one dimension. It is found that the acceleration of a particle caused by a pseudo-force becomes decreased by the factor gamma-2, where gamma is the usual Lorentz factor, when the particle has a non-zero velocity. The acceleration due to gravity on a planet. relative to the planet's surface, being due to a pseudo-force, behaves this way. Tachyons am found to be repelled by gravity.
