摘要：

To reduce variation of seedling emergence in chemical seed treatment trials, a template and frame unit was designed, constructed and tested with seed of various crops. This system controlled the depth of seed placement. Variability in seeding depth was less with the template than with a Swift Current power seeder and a hand-pushed cone seeder.
