摘要
In this paper we consider a generalized group technology problem of manufacturing a group of parts in which each part can have alternative process plans and each operation in these plans can be performed on alternative machines. The objective is to model and analyse how alternative process plans influence the resource utilization when the part families and machine groups are formed simultaneously. Accordingly, we develop three integer programming models to successively study the effect of alternative process plans and simultaneous formation of part families and machine groups. An illustrative example is included. © 1990 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
