STATUS OF BGO DEVELOPMENT AND PERSPECTIVES OF BGO CALORIMETERS IN HIGH-ENERGY PHYSICS

摘要
Crystalline Bismuth Germanate (BGO) scintillates. Its high density and short radiation length make it attractive for high resolution compact electromagnetic calorimeters. The status of development, performance and production methods is discussed. New developments in photodiode readout allow for operation in magnetic fields. Some projects are mentioned.
