摘要
Chromatographic changes that occur to some gangliosides after trichloroacetic acid-phosphotungstic acid (TCA-PTA) treatment were reported. In comparing the chromatographic patterns of the untreated and treated total bovine brain gangliosides the most clearly visible difference was the decrease of GTI. When the patterns of individual gangliosides were compared all those having a chain of 2 sialyl groups (GD3, GDIb and GTI) were resolved in approximately equal amounts of 2 components. The slow moving component migrated in every case up to the same level of the untreated sample. Gangliosides having only 1 sialyl group were essentially unaffected by the treatment.
