摘要
Recent research has revealed that two rigid ribbons mounted in tandem and immersed in a turbulent boundary layer yield a net drag reduction 0 (10%). These ribbons are called large-eddy breakup devices (LEBUs). The LEBUs lower the downstream skin-friction coefficient up to 25%. The present experiment was performed to determine if the drag reduction is accompanied by a corresponding reduction in turbulent boundary-layer wall pressure fluctuations.
