摘要
It is shown that for dielectric Cole-Cole plots, epsilon'' versus epsilon' as a function of frequency, there are two physical constraints. For low frequencies the plot must come in with slope limiting +/- infinity, as it does for Debye behaviour and for resonance absorption, but does not for many other widely used expressions. For high frequencies the plot must come in with the slope -0, as it does not for Debye or for many other cases. It does if the mechanics of the relaxation is properly treated. Examples are given of the utility of these tests in finding errors in empirical and physical theories - and in experimental results!
