摘要
Studies of the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis on four iron catalysts show the existence of dual chain propagation sites on all of the catalysts. The two sites are indicated on the Schulz-Flory plot of the product distributions by a sharp break at about carbon number 13. Furthermore, it was observed that olefins are synthesized mainly on one of the two chain propagation sites. At higher carbon numbers (above C//1//3), hydrocarbons except olefins are produced with a much higher chain growth probability.
