EVALUATION OF BIEXCITON FORMATION RATE IN CUCL

摘要
Biexcitons have been generated by the selective two-photon excitation of longitudinal Z3-excitons in CuCl. The formation rate of biexcitons through bimolecular collision has been estimated to be 4x10(-7)cm3/s at 2 K by analyzing the intensity dependence of the molecule emission bands upon the excitation intensity of ir laser light. This value is compared with that estimated from an experiment in the one-photon uv excitation regime.
