摘要
The discovery and use of glyoxylic acid as an alternative reducing agent to formaldehyde for electroless copper processes is described. Using glyoxylic acid eliminates the environmental hazards and health and safety concerns associated with formaldehyde. Due to the similarity in chemistry between formaldehyde and gloxylic acid the latter compound is identified as the technically superior candidate material as an alternative to formaldehyde.
