摘要
High-resolution electron microscope images (lattice or atomic row images) of planar interfaces can provide a precise measurement of interface thicknesses defined as the total width of the region where the atomic arrangement is different from that in the bulk. All the interfaces that are studied (A. P. B. , twin and grain boundaries) are at most a few reticular distances thick, but great differences can occur between the different cases.
