摘要
Luminescence techniques are used to study the reactivity and molecular dynamics of amino-epoxy polymers. The intrinsic fluorescence of an amidoamine is shown to be a convenient indicator of the progress of its reaction with the diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A. The fluorescence of the resulting polymer is used to measure its glass transition temperature (Tg) and the activation energies of some molecular motions in the polymer. For those polymers which have glass transition temperatures close to the temperature at which they are cured, useful information is obtained by observing changes in the phosphorescence of camphorquinone which has been added to the polymer matrix.
