摘要
The formulation of degenerated shell elements using explicit integration and a stress-resultant constitutive matrix is discussed. A formulation which produces no strain under rigid body rotations is presented. The rotating crack model for the analysis of reinforced concrete slab and shell structures is then presented. In this model it is assumed that the crack is always normal to the direction of the maximum principal strain. Comparisons with experimental results are included. The application of the degenerated shell element and the rotating crack model to the analysis of a reinforced concrete cooling tower is then presented.
