摘要
The impact fracture of nominally identical high impact polystyrene resins having different and well-characterized rubber particle size distributions is discussed. A numerical model for craze termination is presented and its predictions are compared with experimental data. An alternative explanation for the observed effect of particle size on fracture energy is considered.
