摘要
The numerical approach, proposed by us in the accompanying papers, is applied here to simulate the plastic response of a 2D idealized elasto-plastic body under conditions of loading with constant strain rates. Various kinetic and structural aspects of plastic flow are extensively studied. The results of numerical simulations reproduce remarkably well various common features of plastic flow in solids, such as strain softening, strain rate and pressure and temperature dependences of plastic response at constant-strain-rate loading. Direct comparison of results obtained for model solids with different initial structural states shows that the character of plastic flow in transients is strongly affected by the degrees of initial disorder.
