摘要
De-industrialization and growth of the service sector affect the distribution of jobs in the Randstad. The male-female ratio of employment changes partly as a consequence of the growth of part-time work in the service sector. There are also changes in the occupational structure and income distribution which show increasing inequalities in the labour market. Besides that, there is a differentiation of local labour markets within the Randstad. One of the most striking features is the concentration of unemployment in the big. cities of the Randstad. However, the situation in the Randstad is more favourable when the Dutch urban labour markets are compared to the standards of duality in many American cities.
