摘要
Single crystals of Ba6La2Fe4O15 were prepared using a high temperature technique. An X-ray structure analysis shows hexagonal symmetry: space group C46ν-P63mc; a = 11.904 A ̊; c = 7.111 A ̊; Z = 2. The new structure type of Ba6La2Fe4O15 consists of face-connected BaO6 octahedra and further Ba2+ ions in six-, 10- and 12-fold oxygen coordination. There is one point position occupied by La3+ and Ba2+ in statistical distribution. Fe3+ is coordinated by four O2- (tetrahedra) and six O2- (octahedra). © 1990.
