摘要
The lattice location of europium, hafnium and neodimium introduced in lithium niobate single crystals during growth has been studied using the Rutherford backscattering/channeling technique. It is shown that europium and neodimium partially occupy the niobium and lithium sites. However, hafnium mainly occupies the Li sites. In the three cases the intrinsic vacant sites of the lithium niobate matrix are free from impurities. © 1990.
