摘要
The pagodane → dodecahedrane concept is extended significantly by the SN2 synthetic variant, both from the preparative as well as the methodological standpoint. Starting from the pagodane‐bislactone 1, dodecahedranes and homologous dodecahedranes with specific substitution patterns, e.g. 3 (R  CO2CH3), are accessible via the anti,anti,syn,syn‐dibromide esters 2.
