摘要
Artificial superlattice films were prepared from the mutually insoluble metal elements iron and magnesium by alternating deposition in ultrahigh vacuum. X-ray diffraction observations of the superlattice reflections confirmed that the wavelength of the composition modulation is controlled on the atomic scale. Magnetic properties were studied using **5**7Fe Moessbauer spectroscopy.
