ANOMALOUS TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENCE OF THE YIELD STRESS OF TI3AL BY (112BAR1)(1BAR1BAR26) SLIP

摘要
Ti3A1 single crystals have been compressed along the c axis at temperatures from 300 to 1273 K. The yield stress shows an anomalous temperature dependence with a peak at around 1120 K. Slip planes are determined to be {111} by two-surface trace analysis and dislocations observed have Burgers vector ⅓<26> and are mostly of edge character. A possible mechanism for the anomaly is briefly discussed. © 1990 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
