摘要
Benomyl as a foliar spray protected winter wheat against strawbreaker foot rot [caused by Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides] over a wider range of application dates than did thiabendazole. Benomyl was also superior to thiophanate methyl in the single test conduced with the latter material. Fungicide applications in Jan.-March were most effective in suppressing foot rot of the wheat cultivar Stephens, whereas March-April applications were most effective for the cultivar Daws. Economic rates of fungicides were ineffective when applied in Nov. or May regardless of cultivar, and oil did not enhance the efficacy of the fungicides.
