摘要
Two monolayers of mixtures of 11-(9-carbazolyl)undecanoic acid (CUA) (0-25%) and palmitic acid were deposited on five monolayers containing amphipathic porphyrin. Steady and transient photocurrents were measured for LB films in sandwich cells using ITO and aluminum (Al) as electrodes. LB films containing CUA by 5% and 0% showed the maximum and the minimum steady photocurrents, respectively. Transient photocurrents upon excitation of porphyrin with a pulsed dye laser showed a fast rise and a slow exponential decay. The decay behavior depended markedly on the molar fraction of CUA. LB films containing CUA by 5% showed the slowest decay. These results strongly suggest that carbazolyl chromophores are effective in retarding the decay of photo-carriers depending on the extent of their aggregation in mixed LB films.
