摘要
In the recent years aluminum orthophosphate, AlPO//4, has been suggested as one of the most attractive piezoelectric materials for both bulk and surface wave applications. The authors have carried out a series of experiments with various admixtures and studied their effect on the thermal behavior of AlPO//4 with particular reference to the alpha - beta phase transition temperature. The experiments suggest that the phase transition temperature for any compound cannot be fixed exactly at one particular temperature (except in an ideal case) but it always fluctuates depending upon the conditions of growth, the starting materials, the presence of admixtures and so on.
